| The P.E.P. is connected electrically between the Exercycle and the wall outlet. It works like this: Decide how long you want to exercise (0-60 minutes), how much of the exercise session is to be active exercise (working to accelerate the machine), and how much effort you want to exert during the active period. Then simply set the P.E.P. controls. | ||||||||||
| These are questions that many have asked when exercising on an Exercycle®. While many people enjoyed the obvious benefits of Exercycle's All-Body Action exercise program, they still had a desire to work within a more organized routine. | Here's an example of what a good P.E.P. program for the normal healthy person might include. Put 30 minutes in the digital clock. Make the first five minutes a passive, no-work, warm-up period. Then spend a selected portion of the next twenty minutes attempting to speed up the Exercycle movements. Push , pull, and pedal!! Then spend five minutes cooling down by simply following the machine's pleasing motions. | |||||||||

| Exercycle went to work and created the Personal Exercise Planner, also know as a P.E.P®. unit. The P.E.P. lets you create your own personal exercise program and then stick to it. It gives you a target and an accurate indication of your daily progress. | ||||||||||

| When the indicator is lit (green light in meter area), you work to keep the needle in the center of the meter. When the exercise indicator light is off, you passively follow the Exercycle's motions. For example, if you have the exercise session timer set to 30 seconds per minute, you will exert yourself for 30 seconds and relax for 30 seconds. No other exercise machine can let you do this. | ||||||||||
